Horse Riding

The riding program caters to riders of all abilities and enthusiasm. Take part in leisurely meadow rides, climb the steeps for the best views, chase cows about any where, ride hard all day or take quick trips that don't interfere with nap time.

Working Ranch

At Six Quarter Circle you can ride all day, everyday, on 25 square miles of pristine wilderness on the edge of Yellowstone National Park. Guests actively participate in ranch work whether it’s pushing cattle to higher, greener pastures, throwing salt, or fixing fences.

Lodging

Six Quarter Circle Ranch provide first-class lodging and dining to complement your cattle drive experience. The lodge rooms all have gorgeous views, tile bathrooms, log beds with Pendleton blankets, and a unique touch of Western character.

Delicious Food

After a long day on the trail and a hot bath, you can gather in the bar. Choose from a wide selection of domestic and premium beers and fine California and Northwest wines. Dinner is prepared by a professional chef and includes delicious dishes and mouth-watering desserts.

Overview

Hubbard's is an upscale guest ranch on the border of Yellowstone National Park in Montana for adults and children over the age of 12. The Hubbard family has been ranching this land for over forty years and enjoys sharing their special place with guests. Tom Miner Basin has spectacular mountains on either side, beautiful Tom Miner Creek running down the middle of it, and the Yellowstone River running through Paradise Valley down below. Bears, wolves, elk, deer, moose, eagles, and many more species of wildlife thrive on the ranch with our Angus cows and our herd of horses.

The lodge provides a perfect setting for enjoying these treasures. All of the buildings have decks so that everyone can sit and enjoy the views. The lodge rooms are the perfect refuge to hide away and rest for the next adventure. The chefs will make sure you never go hungry with a fun mix of outdoor BBQ style meals and exquisite, multi course dinners in our dining room. The dining room looks over Merrell Lake so you can watch the trout rise as you enjoy your meal.

The riding programme is about a personalised experience. The wranglers will talk with you every evening about the next day. They will match you up with the perfect horse from our herd and find the ride that fits your experience, abilities, and what you want to do. You can trail ride for high mountain views or easy meadow rides. You can move cows to rotate pasture and look for strays. And the wranglers can instruct and help with almost anything.

A Day at the Ranch

Rise & Shine

You take your time getting up because you are still a little stiff from yesterday's ride. But a long hot shower works out the kinks and you feel refreshed and ready as you head for breakfast. Breakfast starts with hot, strong coffee and fresh orange juice. Today you skip the blueberry pancakes to have a made to order omelette with a side of hash browns and whole grain toast. A few pieces of fresh fruit round it all out.

Hit the Trail

Everyone meets at the barn where your loyal steed is saddled and ready. Today you ride through the fields above the barn and do a little galloping, then circle the lake by the lodge. A hot lunch at the lodge and a little relaxation on the porch, and you are ready to go. You follow your wrangler up to Green Lake to check on the cows you moved yesterday. A few moments are taken to snap pictures. You can see for nearly 40 miles in each direction over valleys, rivers, foothills and mountains.

Kick Back & Relax

After returning to the barn, you brush your horse out to reward him for his fine effort and you head for a cold beer. The bar has an outstanding selection, and despite your best efforts, you still have many flavors to try. Hors d'oeuvres are waiting, also, and the barkeep tells you that you are having filet mignon steaks with all the trimmings for dinner.

After dinner you find yourself staring at the incredible Montana stars, and think: "Gee, this should be called Big Sky country or something..."
